If you are on this page, you are planning to swim October 8 or volunteering to crew. 

Our objective is to provide every swimmer a safe opportunity to complete the entire swim. Unless constrained by safety concerns and/or permits, we will swim rain or shine, day and night. Potomac tides switch approximately every six hours, and with variable winds, that generate currents that assist and hinder your progress. Prepare yourself and your crew for difficult conditions, and immeasurable fun! Because this swim will be in October, be prepared and capable of swimming in temps from low 60’s to 70 degrees. Additionally, we plan to start the swim at 7:30am.  Some will finish before sunset, some won’t.  Be prepared for a night swim finish. We will celebrate the following morning with a brunch and awards ceremony.

DETAILS: Swim date is October 8th, 2021. Swim Open to qualified swimmers and relays. 

All swimmers must be supported by crew, power boat (supplied), kayaker (supplied if requested) and official observer (supplied). 

Solo: cost is $2775  (+$175 if you need a kayaker and kayak to be supplied) 

Relay: $1500 per relay plus add $575 per person (3, 4, 5 and 6 person relays). 

Brunch reception, swag, unique finisher award, hotel discounts and more will be included. Final information will be firmed up as we approach swim date.
